The Best TextNow Alternative for Twitter Verification in 2025

If you've been trying to verify your Twitter (or X) account, you know how frustrating it can be when your SMS verification code doesn’t arrive. Many users turn to services like TextNow for a quick second number, only to find that Twitter blocks or rejects those numbers. You need a TextNow alternative for Twitter verification that actually works—one that provides real, non-VoIP US numbers that platforms accept. AnyCodeSMS is exactly that solution.

In this article, we’ll explore why TextNow often fails for Twitter verification, what a reliable alternative looks like, and how AnyCodeSMS gives you a permanent US phone number that gets the job done.

Why You Need a Reliable Second Number for Twitter Verification

Twitter / X now requires phone verification for many accounts—especially if you want to enable two-factor authentication, change your handle, or access advanced features. Using your primary personal number is risky: it exposes your private line to spam, data leaks, and unwanted calls.

A temporary or secondary number offers privacy and peace of mind. But not all virtual numbers are equal. Many free apps use VoIP numbers that Twitter flags as invalid or disposable. The result? Your code never comes, and your account stays locked.

That’s why the right TextNow alternative for Twitter verification must provide a genuine, carrier-grade US number that Twitter recognizes as real.

TextNow Limitations That Make You Seek an Alternative

TextNow has been a popular choice for free texting and calling, but it has serious drawbacks for Twitter verification:

• VoIP numbers: TextNow numbers are classified as VoIP. Twitter often blocks VoIP numbers for SMS verification.
• Shared pool: Because TextNow numbers are recycled, you might get a number that was already used for verification—leading to rejection.
• Unreliable delivery: Users report that verification codes sometimes arrive hours later or not at all.
• Ads and data concerns: Free service comes with intrusive ads and potential privacy trade-offs.

These problems push users to look for a more dependable solution. If you’re searching for a TextNow alternative for Twitter verification, you need a service that provides a stable, non-VoIP number with high deliverability.

Why AnyCodeSMS Is the Ultimate TextNow Alternative for Twitter Verification

• Second number for apps: Sign up for services like WhatsApp, Telegram, or Instagram without using your real number.
• Privacy protection: Avoid spam and robocalls by using a disposable number when needed.
